I have only the windlace to replace on my 69.
I have got to die white to match the interior. I have died the windlace before but it cracked and looked terrible.
Any ideas before I attemt to die the new ones.
Am I doing something wrong? Can you get white ones anywhere? They only start cracking when installing.

Not that this gonna help but I think there are Primers that need to be used before dying the items, But personally I have never had a dye job of Interior parts last long, You would think that being that alot of interior parts are only made in black only that someone would be able to reproduce the items in correct color http://www.camaros.net/forum/frown.gif

In the door jamb runs up the rear quarter panel to quarter window.
It's molded with a metal end to it.

I bought a can of Plastic Prep #38353 from NPD along with the correct can of spray paint for my console. It worked as advertised. Good stuff.

I converted the interior on the wife's 69 SS from black to ivory. Unless you are looking for absolute correctness, the white windlace from NPD works great for the the jamb application. As for the headliner trim, I had to dye it. I use the plastic prep and it worked well. It did crack in a couple of places that were a little thick with dye. I just used an artist brush to touch up those spots after I finished installing the headliner. Good luck.
