Is there any difference between all the hardware on a 68 and a 69 door. I have a 68 door that has standard hardware and a 69 with deluxe hardware and I want to make the 68 have deluxe door panels.
Thanks

Scott, compare the lock knob mechanisims/linkage as the 68 is different than 69 at the knob opening. Just a thought.
Hows the welding coming along?

Mark,
Thanks for the reply. The passenger side door is set up for the deluxe door panel, but the car was wrecked sometime in it's life and they replaced the drivers door with standard hardware, The door is rusted so I have decided to replace it. I thought the only thing different was the window regulator. All of the hardware in the existing door works so I can transfer all of this to the new door. I have found a 69 door for $20. that has all the deluxe hardware. Can I use the 68 my existing lock and use the 69 door regulator for the window and door opening hardware? The car is coded for black deluxe interior.
WELDING.... WE ARE GETTING THERE.... THERE IS A LIGHT AT THE END OF THE TUNNEL, JUST VERY DIM.

It sounds good to me. Compare one side to the other. You will need the interior door opening handle & linkage hardware too in addition to the window regulator. How nice is that 69 door? I have a few issues with my drivers side door that need attention. My passenger door is cherry but the other side was vandalized during shippment from California to here and it needs major help.
Keep on makin' sparks!
