View Full Version : Aftermarket Tilt Steering Columns???? V8 Jun 3rd, 02, 09:51 AM Looking for tilt steering column for a 67 F-body...looking at Flaming River, Ididit, and others....who offers the best quality and complete with accessories for the money???? gheatly Jun 3rd, 02, 09:58 AM It's probably much cheaper to get a rebuilt original GM than dealing with the hassles of installing an aftermarket unit. grey899 Jun 3rd, 02, 06:56 PM Gary's Classic's rebuilds or sales tilt columns. They do awesome work at a resonable price. When I got my column, it literally looked brand new. here's the number (214)948-1831 good luck grey899 RFrenette Jun 4th, 02, 03:06 AM Hey Elmer, Don't you have an after market column in your ride? I have heard the Ididit columns work very well but you have to wire in your own ignition switch. Rob V8 Jun 4th, 02, 04:33 AM I figure I can get a new on for about the same prce! Any experience on the Flaming River piece? tples69 Jun 4th, 02, 12:24 PM Rob, I sold the car..... Yes I had an Ididit polished unit in it. DSE moved the ignition switch to the dash like a 67/68. Money well spent and I will put another in my 64. Elmer RFrenette Jun 5th, 02, 03:59 AM Ahhh...! You sold the car??? What are you working on now??? Regards, Rob |
