I just tried to install my OER dash pad and discovered what others may already know. It appears to be short, it lacks about a 1/4 inch to reach the pillar post trim. The guy that measured for this must have attended the "Jethro Boudean School of Measurement". Is this common, being the repro junk it is, or is mine defective? I've got a feeling this is what I have to live with, unless I want to pay $600 bucks for a NOS. Just had to vent. You would think they could make them right. This is really the first "bad" non original part I've had. Thanks for the space.

Thats exactly how my OER 69 with AC dash pad is, there is a 1/4" gap on each side between the pillar post pad and the dash pad. Looks fine to me, although I run a black post and black dash. Its definitely not short because the dash pad wraps around both SIDES without a problem and secures in with a single screw on each side. If yours can't do that then then its a defective unit.

1/4 inch on either side is great! I have seen other cars with a 1/2 inch even 3/4 inch on BOTH sides. If the OER stuff fits that close, I'm going to buy! I have on original one and it's about 3/8 inch on one side and 1/2 on the other.
