I have just received a set of interior heaterr box gaskets from Ricks and would like to know if anyone can tell me how to disassemble the doors so I can install gaskets and repaint the box? I'm sure it is simple but I can't tell how to get them out! Thanks for any advice.

On mine I sand blasted the bos a used 3m glue to install the gasket kit without taking the box apart, which seemed to be impossible without doing some damage, you will have to do a little triming on the new seals to get a good fit, so take your time.

I thought the door hinges are rods that stick through the outer part of the box and are held in place with retaining clips (round serrated type). Remove the clips drive the rods out. It has been awhile since I rebuild mine. I do remember removing the doors to due it.

The rods that the doors hinge on do go through the box but there are no keepers(clips or push nuts) that hold them in. I have not tried tapping on them to see if I could drive them out but will do so if no one knows just how they are removed. Thanks for the help so far. Any other help would be apprectiated.

The bottom side of the crank is just a pin with a head on it that pulls out, then you take a pin punch and drive the hinge pin out from the bottom up. Its not easy but I have done it.
Good luck, AL.
