Hello all - my car was not originally a console gauge/tach car but I am trying to convert as close as I possible can. Did all 68 SS 350 Camaros come with the 5500 redline or did some come with a 5000 redline? Classic states that their 5500 tach to be "generally found on 327 and 350 cars". The key word here is "generally". I don't know if this is gospel or not.

It seems like I see more original 5000 rpm tachs than 5500 tachs so if the 5000 is "correct" this is the way I want to go. Otherwise I will just sit and wait for a 5500. Waiting, however, is not my best virtue.
