I am looking to upgrade my interior from the standard to the deluxe package. I am interested in finding out if there is anything in particular that I should be aware of prior to ordering the parts. I am looking to re-do everything from the side panels, door panels, carper, seat covers, etc...
I plan on buying new seat cushions, but would also like to know if there is anything else I should be aware of???

appreciate any help in advance,

Kyle

Do a search on this site for what you are planning. This topic has been covered very extensively. There are many things to consider when doing this change.

The new CAMARO PERFORMERS magazine has an article on this right now at newstands!

The Camaro Performers article does not have a lot of detail on the conversion. It will be helpful, but does not cover items like whether you can use the standard rod that goes from the door latch mechanism to the interior door handle.

Besides the deluxe window regulators, deluxe latch mechanisms & handles, you will need 6" long right angle brackets that support the cups under the inner door handles. I haven't seen them anywhere other than eBay, but they should be easy to fabricate.

One other thing. The chrome trim strip on both the doors and the back-side panels is different. The standard strips will accept the deluxe door panel top ridge fitting up into them OK though. The deluxe upper trim piece has like two thin ridges the entire length of the chrome and the standard trim has like beveled V-shape for the expose part.
