more years ago than I would like to talk about Hurst made a T bar shifter handle that was black and covered with a soft velour like material. does anyone have any idea where I could get one of these? The company should make them again, they were very nice.

National Parts Depot shows a Hurts T-handle in their catalogue that has the 4-speed shift pattern engraved in it. It has been a year since I last checked but they were "sold out." I was able to buy just a plain Hurst T-handle from the Super Shops a few years back so I have to believe Hurst still produces these and maybe you could fabricate your own cover?? But I agree, the T-handles are way cool.

Discount auto parts sells them for 19.99, but not the velour ones. I do remember them tho'I think it was a hippie thing.
