I bought a striped down 67 rs. I got a set of deluxe door panels with the car. Someone please tell me everything that I will need to install them. All I have are the panels, cup holders and door handles. I have no trim pieces.
thanks

Okay....
First off, did your car originally have deluxe interior? If not, I believe the window regulator is a little different, so you'd need those.
For the panels themselves, you will need the door mounting clips, the upper and middle "chrome" trim, and the screws that go along the bottom of the panel into the door shell.
The various part places sell all this stuff.
Classic Industries and Rick's 1st gen both have free downloadable catalogs if you don't have them.

The chrome strip that goes the whole length of the door panel has a slightly different channel appearance for a deluxe interior versus a standard interior. In addition the chrome strip must match in the panel in the back seat area which covers the rear quarter windows.
Deluxe door handle mechanisms are longer and are tapped for a bolt.
There is a thin angle iron looking bracket that is about 6" long and 2" wide that secures the plastic pocket of the deluxe door panel to the door. Standard door panels don't have this thin angle iron brackets. Obviously the door handles are different. Putting the screw in the end of the deluxe door handle is a major pain in the butt.
The door panel clips for the deluxe and standard interiors is the same.
The window regulators for deluxe panels also have a longer stem for the window cranks I believe.

yes yes yes.... argghhh... the worst part of the deluxe interior for sure http://www.camaros.net/forum/smile.gif
I have a nifty little "angled" 5/16" box wrench I use for those self-imposed rare occasions I need to remove the door handles.
It's a ratcheting wrench, and I can turn it just enough to engage the ratchet.
