i bought some vinyl dye at a swap meet (mar-hyde vinyl color spray) and was curious as to how well it works. will it really be that deep of a black from a spray can? i dont want to do it and then end up with a dull black door panel with no way to remove it. thanks.

Whenever I spray vinyl dye (I use SEM from English Color), I ALSO spray CLEAR over it. This does two things. One, it gives the surface a glossier sheen and two, it makes it much easier to clean without damaging the dyed surface.

would i need to use like an automotive paint sprayer, or could i clear the door with some rattle can action? i dont want this to look cheap and fall apart on me, but at the same time i could probably find better things to spend my money on (read: speed parts.) thanks.
