I've had a steering wheel exactly like this hanging in my garage for 15 years. Can anyone tell me what car it's originally from? I think it would look good on my Camaro.
Thanks! Bill

Looks like an aftermarket wheel to me.

I was thinking maybe it was an aftermarket, but wasn't quite sure.
Thanks! Bill

Yeh, that's what it is. They were a popular item in the 70's.

I know for sure. That picture is from my EBay auction!! (the car is sold by the way...) It is a Grant steering wheel... it's just an aftermarket wheel, but it is nicely manufactured.

Here's the product link on Grant's site:

Grant Wheel #213 (http://www.grantproducts.com/grant.fm$retrieve?seqnum=117411&html=grantdetail)

After further examination of my steering wheel, I noticed that the wood is starting to crack and seperate. If anyone has a wheel like this to sell that has good wood and chrome, please email me at: 1969camaro@charter.net
Thanks! Bill
P.S. I'll also be posting a want ad in that section for a wheel like this. I'll consider either a 15" or a 13-1/2" wheel.

Try a little colored wood filler on the bad cracks, and then (after dried and sanded)use a 50/50 solution of lindseed oil and mineral spirits on the wood, this will penitrate and swell the wood back to normal. May have to sand a little more, and finish withsome good wood wax.

T.
PS. If the wheel gets sticky you have used to much oil, just wipe it down with more spirits and let it dry.
