no one responded, so I thought I'd try. Not positive about 67, but 69 used molded insulation, for sure.
The sheet insulation has been around for years, but the molded variety has only been available for the last couple of years. The sheet insulation is still around as a cheaper alternative. It's one or the other--not both.

If you go the molded route, and you have a cowl hood, be careful. I had mine leaning against the garage wall, and it broke in half when the wind blew it over.

The cowl hood didn't come out until '69 so on a '67 I would not be concerned with correctness of hood insulation. The molded is way more expensive than other. I'd get the $20 insulation that comes folded in a bag with the clips.

The original '69 cowl hood insulation was flat (not molded to shape). graemlins/thumbsup.gif

JounZ,
Are you sure? I looked at Larry Christiansen's unrestored Yenko at the reunion, a couple of years ago. You could see the remains of the factory indentations, and larry claimed it to be original. We specifically looked at the indentations, and talked about it, as I was trying to decide whether to spring for the high dollar molded piece.

Is it possible that it was a mid year change, or something?

Could be, but the few real originals I've seen were flat; my 02D cowl hood car is an unrestored original, and the one I replaced was non-molded flat. Might have changed later - dunno for sure. graemlins/thumbsup.gif
