RIT dye can be purchased at most any Dollar Store. I have seen blue seatbelts dyed black with great results. Use near boiling water and 2 packages of dye.

Kroger has it. Most any grocery store around here has it. Probably near the shoe polish or laundry area. It comes in a box maybe a little bigger than a deck of cards. I did a set or two from gold to black for my rear belts. It works great except for the tags and clear coating around where the webbing attaches to the male part of the buckle. That will get dyed along with the webbing. No biggie for me as I am not shooting for 100% correct, just pretty darn close, fun to actualy drive, correct. ;)

I used spray dye from PEP BOYS 4 years ago and they still look good.

Wash them with TSP (Tri-Sodium Phosphate) available at any hardware store. I planned to dye mine, but after cleaning them, I did not have to. I know you are changing colors....this is for the guys who are staying with the same color.

I'm with Gary Dorion, I dyed a set of light gray seat belts glossy black using a spray can of vinyl upholstery and carpet paint (dye). It looks good and also allowed me to paint the trim the same color. seat belts felt just a little stiff at first but softened up after being rolled a couple of times. Plan to scotch-guard them next. graemlins/thumbsup.gif
Forgot to mention that this stuff is $3.47 a can at Wal-mart's.
Hope this helps!!!!!!!!!!
