Hi All:
I am planning on putting a console with gauges in my factory non-console/non-gauge '68. I have a question on the wiring harness and hope someone who might have done this conversion can help me out. The bracket that I have for the console does not have the extra "tab" on it to clip the wiring harness "plug" to. (see photo)

I also don't have a base that has a "notch" in the front of it (again, you can see it in the photo). If I don't have the extra tab on the bracket or the notch in the base of the console what do I do with the plug??? Is there enough room inside the console (under the gauges) to put the wiring harness "plug" or would it have to be outside of the console. It seems like I would need the notch in the base so that there will be enough room under the console for the harness plug. This way it is more or less hidden as well.
Kind of confused on this one. Maybe some one that has done this can give their input. Thanks alot!!
