I have Corbeau seats in my car and they are really comfortable. I had the same concerns as you. I found a shop in Houston, TX that had the stock and +2 inch width seats in stock. I drove there to sit in them before buying them. The seats that I have look like the TRS model.

Thanks Kent for the feedback i was wondering if you were able to use your exsisting brakets from the original seats or did you have to buy Corbeau's brakets?

thanks in advance!

Does anyone know if you can use the orignal seat brakets on new steats? it would save me 100 bucks if i can.

I bought their brackets and used them. After seeing them I think that you could easily adapt the stock ones to fit. It might take a little work, but I think I paid around $80 for mine.

Did they fit? Did the Corbeau Camaro seat frames fit to the original hole pattern?

Man, I'll tell you I was in one stinkin' SNIT Saturday night.

Finished part one of the dash restoration and aside from some little nits I need to go back to re-visit, it came out looking better than I thought. Heck, it looks great.

Pulled the seat frames out of the box, attached them to the seat bottoms, carried one over to the car to install. I'm telling ya, I am one happy camper, eight bolts and I'm done this project and it is looking good.

Note: Front seat bolts have the carpet cut away and the seat frame will sit flush to the floor. The rear has the hole cut away and the seat frame will sit on the top of the carpet.

I attached the the two front bolts, move the seat forward, okay, okay...

These will be a bit harder as they are kinda hidden under the seat but I'll get them. Darn, I can't find the hole. After what seemed a life time. I get frustrated, pull the front two bolts. Take the seat out. Remove the frame from the seat - go back to the car with the frame to find out where the rear holes are -

The two rear seat holes are an inch and a quarter
away, to the outside of the mounting brackets.

Why is it the simplest things are the hardest?

I'll soon see how Corbeau supports it's customers. I hope to be able to report that they respond with high marks. We'll see.

I just finished installing Sparco Torino's in mine. After driving the car i'm amazed at how much difference a good seat makes.

I agree with the above, go try sitting in the seat first before you buy. There are a lot of differences between brands and models.

I have the GTB's in my 68 and love them. They bolted right in using their brackets.

Well, Corbeau was right there to help me. A good vendor. Plus, they didn't laugh too hard when they said, "you've got the left bracket on the right seat."

The faster I went, the slower I went. Oh well. I know it's a good thing to get humbled every once in a while, but jeeeeeeeeze.

My first impression of the seat was the lumbar was just too much. The seat supports me but does not "cradle" me. After an hour of driving, I like it lots more but I still think it's weak on cradle and strong on ortho support. I guess I wanted something in the middle. The padding is firm and I'm hoping it will break in a bit.

Rick.

I have the TRS's in my '69 and love them. I used their barckets also.
