I took pictures of the pod and the amount of excess material I took off it to make it fit. I used a heat gun to bend the plastic a little at the edge. The screws are there to hold the pieces together temporarely, there are fasteners in the kit (like door panel fasteners). I drilled an extra hole next to one of the guages for a warning lignt, it dosen't come that way.

Hope this helps someone.

Nice work. Is that really all that you trimmed off? I am refering to the first shot where there are pieces of plastic on each side. Is that the Mustang piece that others have talked about? Which part number is it?

Yes, that's what I took off on each sides. It's the autometer pod #10100 (Ford: 1979-93 Mustang, 2 1/16 in. diameter, black, dual gauge pod).

I'll post the pictures when it's installed.

I really like the look. Thanks for the info. Heck, for $25 it won't hurt to at least try it out. Post a pic once you get it installed.
