Today when I ordered my parts I also had them send me a new boot for the shifter. My car does not have a console and I told the saleman that. They had the rubber boot listed for my car but we were unsure of which bezel to get. The research I have done indicates that the 3 speed cars without the console had a black rubbber boot with a chrome bezel which was square. The boot I ordered today shows it has square corners but the bezel looked square but with rounded off corners. Does anyone know what was correct for this application?
The salesman told me I could send anything back if it was not right.

For a 69, the boot and the bezel are rectangular with large radiused corners. Without a console, the bezel should be chrome.

Dan, It looks like you are getting ready for spring. My cars are getting cabin fever. I walk by the 69 and 75 everymorning in the garage and keep telling them that the snow won't be around much longer so they can go out and play. I didn't drive the 93Z for two full weeks with all the ice that we had. I talked to my body man yesterday and he will be ready to paint the 93 in March or April. I replaced the door panels and top rails on the 75 a few weeks ago. The only project I am working on with the 69 is to try to locate an NOS or slightly used set of 3.31 gears to put in the 12 bolt. The 3.55's are a little too low for highway driving but they do knock you back in the seat. Let me know when you are going to a show. The first Jeff City Cruise-in is supposed to be on March 27th. Jim, I also walk past both my cars every morning. I park my patrol car outside and keep my toys inside! LOL I put the battery charger on the '69 the other night just for kicks and grins to keep the battery up. I am wanting to get it out so bad and stretch it's muscles I cannot stand it. The RS also just sits in there too. I am not about to get either one out until the salt is washed off the roads. So, until then, I will just look at them. Oh, BTW, you've got mail........
