Can anyone tell me if the pebble grain material can be removed from the repro dash panels? I want to apply a different material.

No, the peble grain is stamped into the alluminum panel, then painted black. (they're pebbly on the back side, too)
The woodgrain ones are smooth, with a sticker.

JimM,
That's what I was looking for. My original woodgrain unit had the woodgrain attached to a separate metal sheet that was glued to the frame. I thought the pebble grain might be the same.

There's a business here in St. Petersburg that can make anything plastic or metal appear as something else. It's called Hydrosolutions. I had them take the autometer gauge panel and the plate around the shifter in my 69 console and make it look like carbon fiber. It looks great with the carbon fiber face gauges. It's not easily noticeable, but when someone sees it you can see them trying to figure out how I did it.
