Hey all I was wondering if I could cut out the entire speaker grill and get a new piece welded back in. It is the top portion on the dash. Some where along the line some dumba$$ put a hole for a tac wire and cut one of the sections out. Or a fix of some sort.

All I can figure is a temporary fix of a little hula girl pasted on the hole. There are screens for speakers that are designed to block sun from eating speakers up. My guess is the sun isn't that unfiltered where you are up north. To really get a good level/flush fit of any new perforated steel in that spot I'd think it means removing the dash top or at least the windshield or windscreen which ever you call it. Maybe applying tape to the bottom and finding a drill bit the same size hole as the rest then going at it with JB weld quick to hand drill new holes could make a patch look good. Maybe even braze/solder a piece of metal in there then trim to perfection.
Good Luck
