Has anyone used the DSE dash? I'm very close to buying one. The Covan unit is not an option since I already have the Autometer guages (5" tac and speedo set).

the dse insert is a fine piece. I used one with autometer gages and put the vintage air controller in also, along with an ac duct.

You can get the Covan dash without the gauges and put yours in!

He says that becasue the the 5" gauges he has won't fit their '69 dash (which I have, but it's not installed yet). Although I hear the Nova blank, which does accept 5" gauges, can be retro fitted (with some mounting tab mods) into a 69 as per this forum thread.
