Judd Dec 2nd, 02, 05:20 AM Pace Cars had deluxe interior in them. If you are thinking of going with the deluxe and originally have the standard, make sure that you start looking for deluxe seat frames. I wouldn't think that it will be easy to find them. BTW, I agree with you, I really like the houndstooth seats.

My understanding was houndstooth was only available in a pace car. I have it in my ragtop and have never gotten a negative comment. Even before I lowered it and put 17" wheels on it no one said anything but complements...

mr69 Dec 2nd, 02, 01:17 PM yeah, i have the deluxe setup already. I just think the black/white hounds would look good with the white exterior. The black is a bit boring.....

Gary Dorion Dec 5th, 02, 04:20 AM Nice cup holders http://www.camaros.net/forum/biggrin.gif
Gary Dorion Dec 5th, 02, 04:21 AM I have a black 69 convt. with the standard black interior. I'm going to put in the black houndstooth. Definately will improve the interior!
Here's a shot of mine before I also have the same cup holder/console adder as the car above but it's black instead of ivory.

tl757 Dec 5th, 02, 09:43 AM Yea..that cuphold is one of the reasons why I took the picture. You can buy one for about 100bucks in NPD. I think they are called huggers?!?

thedugan Jul 8th, 07, 08:13 AM Old post but good stuff.
Anybody have a picture of a convert with a black exterior and a white deluxe interior with black houndstooth seats?
Thanks
68camrs Jul 8th, 07, 09:26 AM What package and where were these interiors bought. I have been thinking about doing this to mine also, i am just looking at the pics in classic industries.
Doug using a Photographers or Artists perspective a black car (ragtop especially) with white panels and then black seats would focus the viewers eyes directly on the seats before they see the rest of the car. You really want to see the car initially and then transition to the details like the interior... I'd do white (actually Ivory in 1969) houndstooth if you have white deluxe door panels. My headrests, seat backs and plastic hinge trim were all black and I bought Ivory (white) plastic and vinyl paint and dye from NPD and it matched, covered and has lasted many years. That pic above was from '02 and hear it is 5 yrs later...

Camrs - I'm getting ready to install some 4th gen seats I'm having custom covers made for. PUI was the only place that could match the existing ivory vinyls color and grain and also matched the existing houndstooth cloth. Leads me to believe my interior is from PUI.
