There's a vinyl strip with the foam on the leading edge of the package shelf, that gets glued to the trunk divider.
How tight should it be pulled when gluing down? You can pull it real tight, so you can see a sharp profile, or you can leave it "puffy" Which is correct?

I left mine in between puffy and sharp.

Thanks Funk,
I did as you said and I like the look. Got my seats in yesterday!! I did not realize that the seat back covers the leading edge of the vinyl piece, so I'm not sure what the purpose of the foam is.

Unreal,

To fill in any space between the package tray and the seat back. (Is my guess.)

I wish I hadn't pulled mine down so tightly. School of hard knocks I guess.

Scoops right,

That seems to be the main purpose.. When you look threw the back window it wouldn't look as good w/out it there. I did mine a couple weeks ago I didn't pull it tight in the middle. I like the look it has an arch in the middle. I got lucky with the material used for the packg tray board. The guy that does my upholster work is old school and he told me he had the real stuff they used to use not vinyl covered like repro places. I'll post a pic of it soon.
