How do you remove the Camaro emblem from the glove box door on a 68? Preferably without damaging it. I want to repaint the door.

Have you gone through the '68 AIM (Assembly Instruction Manual) to see how it goes together?
Please post how you end up removing it so others will know.

Just get a small pocket scewdriver and gently pry it up. There are no retaining nuts or screws, there's only very small push-in retainers so be careful not to lose any of them or worse let them fall INSIDE the glove box door!

Thank you 1967 Panther. Previously, I could see the top of the retainers and I tried prying. Obviously, I didn't pry hard enough.
I took a look at the photos. Nice car!

I just took mine off the glove box of my 67 and there are no retainers. The previous owners had just wrapped some black electrical tape around the prongs until he had a tight fit. It actually works fine so that is how I re installed it. Not sure if is the same on a 68.
