I need to clean the orange houndstooth seats and door panels in my 69 Camaro. They are filthy but in good shape. What cleaners do you guys recommend?

Thanks for the help in advance. :D

I usually use "Blue Magic" vinyl and leather cleaner and then follow with their conditioner but they don't claim any UV protection. I just did my ivory interior with Meguire's Vinyl & Rubber Cleaner and Conditioner with almost as good of results. I think the UV protection will be worth it in the long run.

The real key to getting things clean is a soft nylon brush. Go to Kmart or Walmart and find the brooms and mops and toilet brushes and then look for a nylon brissle brush. Spray on what ever you choose for cleaner and then swirl the brush lightly over the vinyl grain. It should start to look like mud and wipe it off with a cloth. Do it again and maybe a 3rd time until no dirt floats in the cleaner, you'll know it clean then. Also keep the brush clean it will speed the process...

For the houndstooth inserts find a color fast dry cleaner in a spray can.

I've been using this stuff I got at AutoZone. It's called Tuff Stuff, red and yellow can. I found it has worked better than anything I have ever found. With a sloppy wife and kids, I clean her car at least three times a year and I swear by this stuff. A soft bristled brush like described before is also needed. Clean and repeat until it's as clean as it will get.
