I picked up a new OER ccel pedal, spring and pin. I am having the hardest time trying to get that assembly together. I have the assembly manual and the drawings arent very clear. Anybody got any tips for getting this thing together?

The radiused hooked end of the spring goes over the "vertical" part of the main accelerator rod from the left side towards the right.
T he coiled part of the spring is at the bottom with the pin through it - the hooked part i refferred to above should be on the left pointing upward

I hope you can understand this ' cause it does not look to clear to me and I just wrote it

Hey Bob,
I just replaced my pedal and I ended up using the original spring and pin and just replaced the pedal itself. I had a hard time because the repop. spring was a bit larger. Also, I encountered a little interference with the throttle bracket and plastic pedal, but no problem with a little persuasion from my Dremel. I wish I had it out I would take pictures for you. If you got questions just ask away.

I replaced my pedals about a year ago, and the quality of the rubber on the repops is really poor. The plastic gas pedal is fine, but the clutch and brake pedals have already worn down, almost to the point of where the originals were when I replaced them. I can't recall where I got them from, somewhere at Carlisle, but I hope the next set is better...

This might be a little off subject, but the other day while vacuuming out the '98 C5 Corvette, I really got to looking at the gas pedal. That gas pedal might be an exact match for the factory pedal in my '69 Camaro! I wonder if the pedals will interchange? If so, I wonder how much the factory plastic gas pedal for a C5 costs? If they will interchange, that might be a better route than using re-pop stuff that does not fit.. Just an idea..
