Is the rear seat padding different for standard and deluxe ? I'm installing deluxe on an original convert. rear seat paddding , just wondered if anyone has done this , and how did it look ?

(Have new wire insert foams for the front)

Some of the stuff I have read here said that the rear seat for a deluxe was narrower as the rear door panels have armrests built into them.

Don't think all 68 deluxe interiors came with arm rest, mine doesn't have them. The rear padding is kinda flat so you shouldn't have problems installing the houndstood. The fronts can be done but only if you make the covers, cause the centers are taller in the standard design and you have to follow the grove in the foam design to place the union betwen colored vynil and houndstood. It can be custom made. Oops just talking about a coupe.

I replaced the standard vinyl with the houndstooth. I put new foam on the front seats but not on the back. It was in good shape. They look great but were a tight fit on the front with the new foam.
