Anybody have any good pics of your headliner molding in a 68. I've got boxes full of parts and I don't really know what to look for in a complete set. I don't want to order a new set because of the cost....anybody have a good alternative if I don't have all the parts?

once you figure out what you have, if anything is missing, email me. I have a couple of pieces in black.

I looked this weekend and I don't think I have any of the moldings. Can you give me a physical description of what they look like so I can know for sure? I am going to the Dallas swap meet this weekend so I might be able to find some spare pieces. Which pieces do you have?

Good luck with the moldings. From all the reproduction parts I've ordered these where the worst. You'll be better off at the swap meet.
Here's what the moldings look like on my '67:
Front: one long plastic molding with a slight radius on each end.
Rear: like the front one but in 2 pieces. They start at the bottom edge of the backglass and join in the middle of the top edge. There's a small plastic piece to cover the gap in the middle (about 2" long).
Sides: One long molding on each sides from the pilar post molding to the sill of the quarter window. It's a rubber pinch molding with a metal spine inside it.
I guess the moldings are the same on a '68. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

I would have to dissagree with Ben-67 on the quality of the repo headliner pieces. I would call them very usable. Not sure if you are talking about only the front and rear window moulding or the side windlace as well. But in my mind repo is a definate option if good originals are unavailable.

I agree there usable. But be prepared for some extensive modifications on the front and rear moldings. The side windlace seemed a little too wavy for to me.
I might be a bitching a lot, but after paying 129$ for the entire kit, I was expecting a lot better.

I might have a whole set. I know I have both back glass pieces, and I think I have the little joiner piece, too, but would have to look. I have at least one side of the windshield piece. probably the other, too I'll have to look. It's broken where it gets toothpick-thin behind the mirror bracket, but you would not see it when installed.
I think the sides are the same for 67-69. If so, I think I have some extra side pieces. Again I'll have to look.
Email me if interested.
