I am getting ready to order a complete new interior for my 67 RS.
One question I have for you guys with 67s. Rick's picture is showing the seat as looking like this:

The difference in the seat I have on right now is that the vertical stitching on mine goes all the way to the top of the seat and stops at the piping. Mine also seem to be a little more tapered toward the top. I was just wondering if I really have original Camaro seats. And if the ones that Rick's sells will work without buying new foam.
I do have the original metal seat backs installed on them.
Thanks,
Randy

Sounds like you probably have the right seats with a bad reupholstery job. The cover shown from Rick's is correct for 67 and 68 Standard interior, but even the Custom interior for 67 doesn't have pleats all the way to the top.
You might be able to reuse the foams if they weren't butchered, but as cheap as the are, I wouldn't put money out for new covers without getting new foams.

Randy,
I just redid my seats with new foam AND springs. I am very happy I did!

Definately spring for the new seat foam and repair your springs. You won't be sorry you did. Old foam will not fill out the upholstery.

I bought new foam for my seats. I am very happy with it. If you use your old foam the new covers will not stretch very good over it. There will be wavy areas where the old foam is because it is 25 years of "butt" pressure on them. When I did them my foam was too thick around the edges and they were hard to pull over. I used a electric carving knife to trim the foam. I set the old foam next to it and compared the 2 foams. Just take your time. You can use a hair dryer or heat shrink gun to stretch the material. You can also put a trash bag over the foam then slide the cover on. That way it doesnt stick to the foam and screw all your screws in place so you can find the screw heads through the material. Then take a razor blade knife to cut the material.

Post some pictures. They could be 68 Custom buckets for a Firebird, and least they are similar to what you describe.

Well, I found a picture of the seats I have in my "Camaro" - They are out of a 1967 Chevelle. Here is a pic of what they look like. Lucky the back panels are still Camaro.
