any one know the proceedure for adjusting door and quarter glass? Do you get the door glass first then adjust the 1/4 to it or otherwise?

Do you have a fisher body manual? All the adjustment procedures are in there. When I did mine, I started at the front and worked my way back, course, on a convertible, I can move the roof, too.

Welcome abourd, btw!

I adjusted the rear 1/4's first and then adjusted the fronts to fit.

Jim,

How do I bring my top down to seal with the side windows? I'm at the limit of adjustment.

Steve, I am in this position as well. Glass goes up, but just short of the convertible top. Did you receive any input on how to adjust? Thanks.

There are adjustable stops in the front and rear of the door window.

Right, you can adjust the glass to go higher. You can move the main pivot to move the entire top fore and aft. The link that flips everything straight moves too, that's how you get all the center peices to lay straight. The front bow adjusts fore & aft as well.

If the top hits the windshield nice, but the front window goes into the windshield post hard before it gets high enough, you can adjust the door glass aft. Then you gotta adjust the 1/4 glass aft to fit... then adjust the whole darned top aft... then move the windshield header forward to make it fit again! This last part can be hard to do if the top is done, but if itsa lil loose, it will stretch it right out.)

It can be a pita, I worked on mine for weeks... got everything perfect ecxept the weatherstrip on the top doesn't quite meet the windshiled post weatherstrip. (which is weird, because the top to windshield joint is perfect.)
