Which one is the best for less? Don't want the wimpy looking ones from ebay, but some others are way high on price. No need for a 100% correct NOS one. Material, supplier &/or a ± price would be helpfull.

Hey ORENCH,

I paid around $50 for this one it's thick with nice molding. I got it from Matt's Bow ties in CA. He's on here. I can't remember his ID maybe he'll chime in. Email me I'll give you his ph #.

I got mine from ACC. Fits like a glove! My houndstooth pattern and color are not resto correct, but it matches the car.

I just ordered one from Matt's nice folks, though I wish I could find the aqua on white as is in our 68 RS.
the aqua on black will do just fine and not be 30 eyars old.

Okay, so what's the 'correct' pad for a plain jane 68? Also, what's the site addy to 'Matt' who sells these? Who has the best for the cheapest?

Here's the info.

It looks like a good repro to me w/out the felt pad underneath that gets wet and rots out the trunk. I think you will be happy. You just have to cutout around gas tank filler because it's made for all first gens.

I bought the thick rubber kind (no felt).

I took it out a year later and ebay'd it because it still trapped moisture in the trunk. Surface rust was starting.

You must lift it up and wipe down the mat and the trunk everytime you give your baby a bath.

If it's been awhile since you lifted the mat, I'd give it a peek and check it out graemlins/sad.gif

So what you're saying is it would be a good idea to cut a thin pc of carpet to put underneath mat?
