I have a 68 Camaro that was originally floorshift automatic, that was later transformed into a 4 speed but the guys cut a huge hole in the tunnel for the 4-speed. I just repaired it with a virgin tunnel from a column shift 69 Firebird but now I need to know where EXACTLY to drill the holes for the horseshoe shifter. I still have the cable hole, the front console bracket holes and the rear console hole for references but I would really appreciate if someone could help me with the locations of the holes for the shifter. Thank you very much.

Frank.

The tunnels had little dimples from the factory where the holes were to be drilled, did you transfer the same piece of tunnel over to the car and are these dimples still visible? There should be three for the shifter mount and they had 'nutserts' in them for the bolts to thread into. the first two are about 4~5" back from the hole and centered on the hump the third is to the rear by it's self.
