I just picked up this shifter on Ebay and I am trying to place it in the car. Since it was originally a 3 on the tree, I have no clue where to mount it. How does this placement look?

I'd worry more about your steering wheel... :D Looks pretty darn good to me. Since there's no hole, you might just put it where it's comfortable. As long as you can reach it and not slam your knuckles into the dash you're probably fine.

Thanks guys....
Joe,
I studied that pic for the longest time and thats how I came up with the placement. Sitting in the car it feels very comfortable.
Thanks

I would hook up the shift cable first and make sure there is no binding, then mount the shifter where it feels good. You will have to approximate where the hole in the floor for the cable to pass thru needs to be. Good luck.

This is great information, I'm in a situation where I have to fill the hole for a manual shift and put in the nuts and 1.5 hole for the cable. and Ideas on how to fill the manual hole that will be strong enough for the AT shifter?
