Sean 68 327 conv. mccorry Aug 8th, 00, 12:59 PM There is a tool...but it isn't too hard to get them off with a curved tip seal pick. You can buy a set of picks at most any autoparts stores... Everybody sells the tool, Autozone, Pep Boys etc. Looks like a big black snake tongue with a bent up end on it for trim removal. They are usually over by the " HELP " odds and ends shelf, you know the one with the master cylinder gasket, door locks, vacuum plugs. ------------------ 68 RS, Ash Gold, pwr windows,Hounds tooth gldn slmbr Aug 8th, 00, 02:26 PM Thanks for the help! Another way to remove the C-clip with out the proper tool is a shop rag. Take the shop rag and wrap it around the base of the window crank. Then work the shop rag back and forth (like drying your back after a shower) the rag will grab the edges of the clip and pop it off without the risk of damaging the door panel. Austin 69er Aug 8th, 00, 07:04 PM I would buy the tool. They are very inexpensive and then you'll have it the next time you pull the handles off. Brad74 Aug 10th, 00, 08:08 AM I always take a piece of safety wire (same thing as electric fence wire) and bend it into a small hook on the end. You can then fish the clip out with the hook and pull out the clip. I always pull the wire with pliers. Brad |
