You will feel it push a catch inside then turn your key all the way to the left ( I believe ) and it should come out. Then you can remove the bezel etc. The assembly manual describes this better. ------------------ 68 RS, Ash Gold, pwr windows,Hounds tooth memcgraw Jul 27th, 00, 12:36 PM CA420 has it right. Thanks Again Notorious May 21st, 01, 08:39 AM How about if you don't have the original ignition key? Do I have to have one made so I can change the lock cylinder? CA420 May 21st, 01, 12:50 PM If you had one made why would you need to change it? Maybe a lock smith could get it to turn for you so you can change it out and even rekey it for you if you want. ------------------ 68 RS, Ash Gold, pwr brakes, pwr windows,Hounds tooth,355/T350,3200 stall Dynamic converter,3.31:1 posi,Autometer guage pod Notorious May 22nd, 01, 06:00 AM I know, sounds silly to have a key made so I can change the lock for a new key. But the thing is-- I had to buy locks for the doors and trunk anyway because they were missing. |
