: conv. top.. what kind of fluid?? help... chuckboy7 Dec 4th, 01, 01:37 PM hey guys, i looked at past talks on this in the archives and there seams to be a question on what fluid to use in conv. tops. i've heard f-tranny fluid,dextron 3? what do i fill it with? thanks for any help. I don't think it really matters as long as it is a light oil. cavemate Dec 4th, 01, 06:46 PM Yes, any type of hydraulic (light) fliud will work. but ATF works very well. There is a fill hole in the pump reservoir. Fill the reservoir, leave the cap off and work the top a few times.
