I need seatbelts for my 68 SS and don't care about originality, what other models or years will fit that I'd could score from Bone yard or other used sources

The front outside retractor is unique to Camaro. Maybe the shoulder harness is, too. The rest of the belts could probably interchange. I searched for belts under "seat belts" on ebay (rather than "Camaro Seat belts") and Exclude Ford Dodge, etc. I was able to accumulate a good supply of belts, out of which I picked out enough excellent belts for my car.

If you need lengths of various belts, let me know, and I will measure them for you.

I would go to the boneyard and look at the old GM cars from the era. My rear belts came from a tan interior Impala. I pulled out the rear seat and there they were. Nearly perfect from being stuffed down in there for approximately 30 years ;) I cleaned them up and soaked them in Black RIT dye and they came out great. I found some Black plastic buckle covers in a Pontiac and I was in business.

edd Gordon, welcome to this great site, lots of good info and people here. :D String69 is correct, go to a pick your part boneyard and look for and old Nova, Impala, GTO, Chevelle, or even a first gen Camaro (yeah right) graemlins/clonk.gif , I pulled a clean black set out of a 71 Nova, and paid only $10 bucks the set... Door parts are the same also as far as Nova's are concerned, (door handles, arm rests, window cranks, etc.) As stated before EBAY is also a good source. Hope this helps...Good Luck...Mike graemlins/beers.gif

I used belts out of a 75 camaro for a while. The retractors were mounted on the oppisite side or on the "hump" side of the seat. They looked and worked good but i eventually scored a set of 68 belts off Ebay for about $80.
