Can anybody do me a favor and measure the width of their '69 console at about the middle of the little storage compartment?

I have non-stock seats and they are a bit wider than stock, so I need to know if the console will fit inbetween them. Thanks guys!

Don't know which compartment you mentioned, so I'll give you middle dimensions of the three of them.

<LI>The one nearest to the shifter, for the seat belts buckles = 8".
<LI>Big center compartment = 6-3/4"
<LI>Rear, ashtray = 5-1/8"
