Cool! The Mechanix "Panther" drawing looks a little like a Nova-Camaro hybrid. I wonder if that drawing came from GM before the body design was finalized?

Choptop... great observation!
Never thought about it before... but I just realized that the lower cost Nova has a "Sports Back"... something you would have thought would have been an optional Camaro body style to compete with the Mustangs...
Oh well... also a 1970's Nova would look nice as a convertable.... graemlins/beers.gif

I see more Chevelle in the pic's than Nova or Camaro... I don't recall the name but one of the books I got from the library a while back had the same pic's of the panther and I believe they were Chevrolet drawings...

I have the 67-68 Camaro reference book From "A" to "Z" that shows a couple prototype pictures of it. One pic shows it in the wind tunnel. The dash was quite different looking also.

I agree with Dennis. In the back by the windows, it has that distinct early Chevelle "fin" sort of look to it...Very Cool! Thanks for sharing Jeff graemlins/thumbsup.gif
