Hey folks, have a question with money riding, as in a bet. Were the consoles in early 68 Camaros (earlier than 02/68) similar to the 67 and Firebird consoles? Or were they like the 69 camaros? Were any 68 consoles similar to 67 consoles?

I don’t know what the CRG boys have documented, but I’ve only seen two 67 style consoles in 68’s. One I installed in my non- console car and the other one I saw, the guy did the same thing..

67 consoles are only in 67's from my 28 years of 68 ownership. 68 & 69 consoles are the same except for the wood grain and 4 speed shift tunnel.
Who won?

Thanks for the responses so far. I'd like to get a few more responses (especially from CRG, if possible) before I rub salt in the wounds. The bet is with my cousin and we are in the middle of painting my car. I'll wait a few days. By then he'll be close to finishing. Then I'll spring the news.

my 68 RS is a 09C build and has the 68/69 style console.

68 and 69 are same as stated above.
