I have a 68 custom interior and the drivers seat was rusted and dead, so I bought on e-bay a used standard pass. seat back and new bun. I got the springs out and was able to mount them on my repaired frame. But i have been trying to adapt the 69 standard bun to the 68 custom cover. It seems so much thicker :D ("thats what she said"-sorry), what do you all think is it possible.

Use a electric carving knife and trim some of the foam off. Compare it to the old foam and take your time trimming it. Do a little at a time and then try the cover. You can also use a hair dryer to heat the cover and stretch it.

I am reusing the old 68 deluxe bun. So if anyone needs a slightly damaged new 69 standard bun, let me know or I may just put it on e-pay.
