Deluxe/standard???? JohnZ Dec 30th, 01, 09:00 AM My 02D '69Z with the Deluxe Interior (Midnight Green Comfortweave) has clear window crank knobs. ------------------ JohnZ '69 Z28 Fathom Green Sleepy-69 Dec 31st, 01, 07:36 AM I don't recall any Chevy's getting black handles from the factory. I believe they were all clear, at least until they yellowed after a 8-10 years...then many replacement black handled parts were used. Someone set me straight if this is inaccurate. Bob Jenkins Dec 31st, 01, 06:02 PM Good question....I have often wondered this myself. Both my cars have the clear knobs but I have seen alot of cars with the black ones.... ------------------ '69 SS 396/375hp L78 M21 3.73 Fathom green/medium green interior http://albums.photopoint.com/j/ViewPhoto?u=1331216&a=9901695&p=33013081 blown67ss Jan 1st, 02, 12:38 AM 67 ss deluxe int and clear knobs Mr. C Jan 1st, 02, 01:16 AM 69 SS mine are clear, well yellow now RickD Jan 1st, 02, 02:36 AM My car, and my 69 parts car, both have clear knobs. ------------------ Rick Dorion 69 RS Conv,355,M20,4.10's and I don't worry about stone chips. Kyvox Jan 1st, 02, 03:40 AM I have three 68's with standard interiors, and they all have black knobs. pakual Jan 1st, 02, 11:14 AM 1967 used small interior color knobs. 1968 used larger interior colored knobs(my 68 has tan/gold knobs). 1969 and later used clear knobs. The only black knobs used were in black interiors in 67-68. Deluxe or standard interior did not matter. This goes for all GM cars. The plastic knobs were part of the safety package introduced in 1967 along with padded interior mirrors, hazard lights, emergency brake light etc. HTH, Happy New Year JA ------------------ John P.
