I was wondering if there is a difference in seatbelts between bench and bucket seats. I am changing the interior of my '70 Nova from the ugly Gold to black and now need new seatbelts. The car origionally had a bench seat, but not enough leg room, so I swapped in a set of buckets from a later Camaro. The seat belts have worked fine for the last year or so that I have been running this way, but I need to know if I need to stick with bench seat belts or if I can switch to bucket seat ones. Basically, this long winded question could be summed up in whether or not the two mounted different and what is different?

TIA,
Bill C.

They are out of an 84 Berlinetta, pretty decent seats!
To make them work, I reused the outside holes by just enlongating the rear mounting bracket hole. I then had to drill new holes for the inside brackets. I was lucky enough to have these go through the extra metal under the floor for support. I did have to use quite a few washers on the inside bolts to get the seat level.
