I just installed an autometer 3-3/8" sport comp speedo and tach in my '69 dash, its actually very easy to get it to fit, even with the stock lenses/idiot lights over them. all you have to do is cut out a hole in the back of the carrier big enough for the back of the gauge to stick out, and in the case of the left pod i had to fabricate a small bracket out of aluminum to hold the speedo in place.in all, it was about an afternoon of work, and im pleased with how they turned out. http://www.nuttybrown.com/gauges.jpg

Thats what I did but never got around to pisting pics of it. I ended up taking back my new OER dash because I am going to buy a covans classic unit. Here is a picture of the hole in a practice dash.

How does it look in person viewing the gages through two plastic lenses? Do you get any glare or reflection?

Thanks.

i was concerned about glare too, but since the gauges are recessed and dont see direct sunlight, it isnt a problem.
