We have a 1967 RS. It does not have a motor or trans. It decodes as small block and M20. It had the original fuel line which looks like 3/8" (used open-ended wrench to fit over the line. 5/16" wrench did not fit). Could this mean it had the L30 (327/275) engine? I think we also found what appears to be 2 brackets on the inside back frame above and in front of the rear end. One on each side. Could these be the dual exhaust mounting brackets. The car did have an original 10 bolt Posi and front power disc brakes (not on car now). The car was built in Van Nuys the last week of Nov. It does not have the Radius Rod mount on the body. All 67 (and 68) V8 cars had a single 3/8" fuel line, only 69 V8's with Rochester carbs had two fuel lines, so that in itself is not a good indicator.

Dual exhaust tailpipe mounts are on the outside of the rear frame, not the inside. They look like 3" by 5" plates welded to the frame between the shock and rear wheel.


Radius rods were not in use in November of 66. They started appearing in mid December.

Need more data to determine what engine originally came in the car.

6 cyl and 327 cars have the 5/16 in my 20 years experience with these guys and 350's came with the 3/8. Now as far as a 327/275 I would think it would have 3/8.

the size is I.D., inside diameter.

Steel tubing is specified as O.D. Rubber hose is specified as I.D. That way when you get 3/8" fuel line it will slip over 3/8" tubing.

Pipe is specified as ID until you get up around 2" then it switches to OD for some reason.

MarkC is correct. I have a 67 327/275 and it came with 3/8" od fuel line. I've never seen a 5/16" fuel line on a first gen V8 Camaro. I used to own a 68 327/210hp Camaro and it was 3/8" too. I've not paid a lot of attention to 6 cyl cars though.

My 67 is an oct 66 Van Nuys built car. It came with a 10 bolt and no traction bar as Mark indicated.
The dual exhaust hangers might indicate a 275 hp engine. I don't believe a dual exhaust was an option on a 210 hp engine.

The front hangers hold the pipes coming from the engine, and would be attached to the floor pan area just under and behind the rear seat. There are are another pair of hangars on each side of the outer side frame rail in line with the front of the gas tank that support the tail pipes. The pipes exit almost straight down behind the rear wheels.
A single exhaust Camaro would not even have the holes drilled on the left side tail pipe hanger - I think.

I have a 67, came with a I-6, I put a built 350 in, with the Flowmaster American Thunder kit, it came with hangers and they bolt right in to the factory locations. my car had all the holes drilled. maby coverd with dirt, but they should be there.

What size was the fuel line on that 6?
