Hello all,
Here's a question for anybody that has factory air in their 67 or 68, or anyone who has installed a Vintage Air system with the original center vent.
I am currently in the process of installing a Vintage Air system in my 67 that did not have factory air. I am installing OEM style vents (outer Astro vents and chrome center vent). Since the adapter for the center vent that is supplied with the kit does not bolt up to the original center vent, I have ordered an original used center vent duct. The problem I have is that when I bolt the OER chrome center vent to the original center vent duct, the louver in the vent is loose. It will not keep the position you set it at, and I'm sure it will rattle when driving down the road.
So, my question is, what can I do to take the slack out of the rotating louver in the center vent??
By the way....I managed to remove the heater and all underhood ductwork and blower motor without removing the passenger fender!!!
