Hey camaro guys whats up?

My 84 Camaro just had a new trans installed, and about 4 days later, it started running really rough. I had a check engine light come on after driving it for about 30 minutes, it now stalls at stop lights. When started, its chugging and idling REALLY ROUGH. I am going to attempt to replace the O2 Sensor, but I find it weird that this problem happened after the trans was changed, is there a hose I should be looking for under the car thats not connected?

P.S. There is a rich fuel smell. Any help would be appreciated!

This is pretty much a first gen site, but try posting your question in the troubleshooting section. You might try one of the third gen sites for better advice on the later models.

Scott, is your car Carbureted or fuel injected? O2 sensor most likely won't help in either case, especially if it's carbureted. It could be a vacuum hose left off.If the O2 senses a lean mixture as in a vacuum leak, it could send out a rich signal...
