I just installed B&M's governor recalibration kit in my TH-400 with a B&M shift improver kit. IT IS AWESOME, I set it up so it would shift later in the RPMs and it totally woke up my '86 Chevy Stepside (http://home.att.net/~jim_horvath/86stepside.jpg)with a 4.3 liter. I totally recommend it to anyone with a TH-400 and highway rear end gears. It took 10 minutes to install and it's a totally different ride now. For $32.95 out of Performance Automotive Warehouse, you can't beat it. All I did was replace the weight paired with the harder spring on the governor with the 2nd lights weight in the kit. It was a perfect combination.
