I'll be there too, I missed the last one.
I might even have my car out of the body shop. Fingers crossed. I finally saw some progress on it this week - one new quarter fitted and one to go. =)
Is there a club corral again Dennis?

Andy the Camaro Coral will be there on Sat. It's put on buy the WCA. Our local club Camaros Limited usually has a few members out there. The Toy Drive ( http://www.camaros.net/forum/Forum2/HTML/004342.html ) Show is the official Nov club event so I don't know of any morning gathering for the GG show.

The Camaro Coral fills up fast, I hope they plan for a larger area this time. I should be out there fairly early.

Carl - They just start sending the Camaros in the direction of a ropped off area as they come through the gate. I'll try to find Charlie or some other TCers and space a few of us far enough apart so when you get there we can move around a bit and make room for you...

I heard tonight that the guys from Pro-Touring.com were gonna try to park together as a group. Not all of them are Camaros so that might leave room in the Coral for a few extra cars...

What time do you think you'll make it?

What time do you think you'd have to get there to get in the corral? I thought that section was all filled up already.

You know what is funny, it rained last year too. My little boy (he was four then) and I have a story not many can beat. He still gets a kick out of the idea that we used BIGFOOT as rain protection. Yep, it really started pouring and we ducked under the most famous monster truck of all time to keep from getting soaked.

I think I'm going to sit this one out. The Yahoo weather map shows rain all weekend now. The Spring show was bad enough, and we were inside for that one. It would make a big difference if they paved the parking lot. Good luck to all who brave it out.

I just got home (no roadster, if it even looks like rain) and it really was nice. Saw a lot of cool cars with a few popping out to really grab you.

You won't believe the one that I can't get out of my head. It was a stone stock bench seat, column shift, 327 two barrel stripo. Yep, this thing was so refreshing. The motor needed a little more detailing but it was beautiful. The body and paint was some of the nicest out there. It as an unpopular sea foam green color as I remember, NOT the typical Hugger orange (though I love hugger orange) and that is what made it stand out.
Anyway, I didn't find any of you out there so I picked up a few Ebay items and I am home with my sick little boy.

Hope any that went or are going keep dry. http://www.camaros.net/forum/smile.gif

I will not be able to get out there on Sun. but I might bring my 69 to the march show. Hope your son and parents get well soon. Spitfire, good swapmeet. All I got was a front spoiler and one chrome knob for my seats. (Matts bowties trailer). If you need ralley center caps, lots of good deals out there... Mike http://www.camaros.net/forum/biggrin.gif

I was there but left the White Wonder at home... The bench seat car was cool indeed... Jody nobody entered in the show was allowed to park on the grass or mud!! Although the spectator lot out front sure was all mud...

Met up with some Camaros Limited members, Scott Taylor had his '67 SS out even though he said he wasn't going... after talking with Scott for a while I bummed around with Steve Allen (stevocamaro) and we hooked up with Warren Friedrich (a buddy of clill's) that I had met before. Warren just sold that beautiful '69 L78 Ragtop that was just featured in Super Chevy, he was there with a white '71 LS6 Vette that was real clean... Matt Gossett (Matt's Bowties) was set up in the swapmeet which for the first time since I've been going there over the last 3 yrs or so actually had a good selection of Camaro parts. Of course I didn't have any money to spend though!!

Next time we need to designate a time and place to all gather and do some bench racing face to face... It was cool to spend time with the TC folks I did meet up with and was a good way to spend the day!! My dogs are beat!!

Good show but due to the previous wet weather, not great. Thankfully the weather held up good today and the swap meet section was good this time.

I think the "impending weather" scared alot of people off. There werent as many cars as last year at this time. The weather turned out great !!!!

I spent alot of $$$ today !!!! I ordered my wheels, bought the wire harness for my car and bought several other small things that were a "good deal".

I was looking forward to the Camaro corral, but due to the previous bad weather, the grass areas were too soft and flooded, so they had limited space, and had to cancel the corral.

I was hoping to meet some of you guys in person. Its always nice to put a face to a name. Unfortuntely I have other plans for tomorrow, so I'm not going out again. It sounds like the weather should be good, so hopefully, they can spread out more cars.

Well from the looks of the weather out this morning, I am dlad I went yesterday (Saturday) too. I guess considering the weeks weather it wasn't a bad show at all. The swap meet wasn't nearly as big as usual. I did not find anything I actually went for (that might be a good thing). Sorry I didn't see any of you there, or even if I did how would I have known. As most of you I left the car/Camaro at home.

Martinsr, I saw that 68 red vert, 12K. Appeared that the front clip was painted at a different time than the rest of it, your right thou, good top, decent interior, if it ran well, 12k would be a good place to start from... I did look at the blue 63 (SS I believe) nova that was for sale for 6.5K obo, 6 cyl. It had a new interior, body appeared pretty straight, and the paint was OK. I had him start it up, althou the motor looked alittle forgotten, Didn't smoke and sounded smooth. I think 5K cash on the spot would have taken it. My son wanted me to pull the trigger, but not yet he needs his license first...Mike

Mike, I am going to make you cry. My first car (my first "vehicle" was my 48 Chevy truck which came before my first car) was a '64 SS Nova. It had a six and three speed. It was White with a red bucket seat interior. It was the first car I ever painted (did it in Lacquer). It was very nice and put it up for sale. I couldn't get a single bite! I wanted a bunch...$750.00. I was offered $500.00 but that was as close as I got. So, I chopped the top on it! It was never finshed and the wrecking yard came and towed it off. This thing was STRAIGHT and rust free! What a shame, but the times were different in 1977, it was worthless. I still have a love for them and one day I know I will get another. It will be an abused piece of crap that I will "save" from the crusher. It will be restored in memory of my little SS. http://www.camaros.net/forum/smile.gif One of the best deals I saw out there was a 1950 Dodge two door wagon. It had a hot rod flathead six in it with all the aluminum goodies. The body was VERY straight and it was $12,000 also. It was a lot of car for the money I felt.

Martinsr, you're right, you did make me cry. Back in 1977, I bought my first camaro, a 67 coupe 327 powerslide 2 speed with console. Completely went through it, even down to the Kraco am/fm 8 track...sold it 2 years later for 2K because I felt like a "Kid" driving it. Kind of like how I feel now when I drive my 69 LOL. Great idea about saving a 64 nova from certain death. Didn't see the 2 door Dodge but did you see the red 65 GTO tripower for sale for 22k? nice... http://www.camaros.net/forum/smile.gif Mike

You guys that went yesterday got the good weather. The rain held off until about 10:00. Got tired of hanging out in the buildngs waiting for the rain to stop. On the way out saw the cars in the winners coral with the windows down and a puddle on the leather seats. Also the roadster with the unbrella covering about 90% of the seat. I doubt that guy makes it home dry.

I woke up to blue skies on Saturday and decided to take the Camaro up to the show. The car stayed dry until they routed us through about 1/4 mile of mud roads. Which was totally unnecessary, as they could have diverted us through the back gates.

I met up with DJD and we chatted for while. Warren Friedrich had his LS6 Vette right across from my car, so we chatted for a while. He sure knows a lot about Camaros! Saw Chrissy (67 Chevelle) but didn't have a chance to say hi (Chrissy, if you read this site, hi.).

The swap meet was wet and muddy, but it seems like it always is. Bought a white shifter knob to replace my black one but it isn't the right thread, doh!

All in all a pretty good show but I left early to get the car home so I could clean the mud out of the tires and wheel wells.

Scott.
