Does anyone know the numbers for the bolt pattern on a 79 camaro?- I am looking at putting some C5 rims on and I need to know if they will fit.

View Full Version : 1979 bolt pattern redline Dec 21st, 01, 10:56 AM Does anyone know the numbers for the bolt pattern on a 79 camaro?- I am looking at putting some C5 rims on and I need to know if they will fit. novaderrik Dec 21st, 01, 01:25 PM your camaro-and the new vettes- are a 5x4.75 bolt pattern. the C5 wheels won't fit without adapters, tho, because the newer cars,for whatever reason, have a lot more backspacing in them. you can, however, get spacers, but they will set you back quite a bit. in the end, it would be easier and cheaper to get aftermarket wheels. ------------------ 1971 Nova(looks like 69 camaro from underneath!) 355sb, vortec heads, HOT cam,T-10 tranny, 3.70 gears 16" IROC wheels Chris Edwards Dec 21st, 01, 05:47 PM Actually mostly all chevys and pontiacs from 60+ today are 5 by 4 3/4 however many are now metric lugs, (no biggy) but the spacer plates can actually reduce the strength of the grip of the lugs since the rim is not centered on the hub, but running with the plate as the centering and the rim to the plate... ------------------ Chris's 67 RS 327,can be seen at http://www.67rs.com check out another site once in a while! http://www.fbodyconnection.com |
