Is a vinyl top(roof) removable and in such a way that nobody can tell it once was a vinyl top?
If so, what does it take to do this.

Thanks

I think they are put on with adhesive and there are some mouldings that also help hold them. I guess you would have to strip and repaint after removing the vinyl. I believe you can buy something that will soften the adhesive and then you can peel or scrape the vinly off.

I took the vinyl top off of my '69. I had to grind off the studs that held the trim on, but you can't tell now that it ever had one on it.

And the metal under a vinyl top is not finished, it requires Extra bodywork to make it smooth, + you never know the condition of the roof untill you remove it. I like a vinyl top now, I used to hate them, but there are not many because everyone cuts them off...
